What is the fee for Granger’s curbside recycling?
Watertown Township residents with Granger trash service can sign up for single-stream recycling services at a reduced rate of $7.75 per month (plus fuel surcharge).
Are current Granger recycling customers eligible for the reduced rate?
Yes! Those in the Township who already have Granger curbside recycling will automatically see a reduction in their rate starting with their July bill. They don’t need to do anything to get the new rate.
Are residents required to sign up for trash service from Granger, too?
No. Township residents who don’t use Granger trash service can select recycling-only service from Granger at the standard rate ($15.51/month plus fuel surcharge).
When will Granger’s curbside recycling services start?
Expanded service will begin the week of July 23. Township residents are encouraged to sign up at any time.
What will happen to the Watertown Township Recycling Drop-off?
The drop-off at the Township Hall will close on August 11. Residents who wish to continue dropping off their recycling are welcome to visit the Granger Recycling Drop-off Center at 16936 Wood Rd (driveway #6). The Granger drop-off is open 24 hours/day, 365 days/year.
What are the guidelines for curbside recycling?
- All materials can be placed in your cart together. No sorting is needed. Materials are sorted at a facility after collection.
- Containers should be empty and rinsed clean of food residue.
- Boxboard and cardboard should be broken down and flattened.
What materials are accepted in curbside recycling?
- Boxboard
- Cardboard
- Mixed paper
- Metal cans and foil
- Plastic bottles, tubs, jugs and containers
- Clear and colored glass

What day will curbside recycling be picked up?
After you sign up for curbside recycling, you will receive an email from customer service indicating your cart delivery date and your recycling day. Your recycling will not necessarily be picked up on the same day as your trash. Click here to view recycling schedules for Watertown Township.
