Specific items accepted/not accepted at our Wood Road Recycling Drop-off are listed below according to container.

Acceptable materials:
- Newspaper (including inserts)
- Magazines
- Catalogs
- Phone books
- Softcover books
- “Junk” mail (direct mail flyers, postcards, etc.)
- Envelopes
- Printing and writing papers
Unacceptable materials:
- Plastic bags
- Paper bags (put in cardboard container)
- Hardcover books
- Paper plates
- Napkins/paper towel/toilet paper
- Gift wrap
- Brown packaging paper
- Receipts/receipt paper
- Wrappers/bags/packaging
- String and/or twine
- Stickers and/or sticky notes
- Paper with coins plastic or other items stuck to it
Acceptable materials:
- Cardboard boxes
- Cardboard inserts
- Brown paper bags
Unacceptable materials:

- Boxboard (put in boxboard container)
- Boxes containing plastics, liquid or food residue
- Gift wrap
- Wax-coated or foil-coated boxes
- Boxes meant to go in the refrigerator or freezer (frozen dinner boxes, waffle boxes, butter boxes, etc.)
- Pizza boxes
- 6-, 12- or 24-pack beverage cases
- Foam, food residue, liquids
Acceptable materials:
- Clear beverage bottles
- Clear food jars
- Clear Mason jars
Unacceptable materials:
- Colored glass jars or bottles (put in colored glass container)
- Jar/bottle lids
- Plastic bags
- CRT glass (monitors or TV screens)
- Light bulbs
- Window glass
- Auto glass
- Mirrors
- Glassware
- Ceramics
- Dishes
Acceptable materials:
- Any color beverage bottles
- Any color food jars
- Any color Mason jars

- Pizza boxes

- Cartons (milk, juice, broth, etc.)

- Any size plastic milk jugs with seam
