Granger Celebrates Garbage Men and Women

By Andrea Davis on June 20, 2018

Granger Waste Services will be celebrating Garbage Man Appreciation this week (Monday, June 18 through Friday, June 23). This week-long celebration is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate all of Granger’s hardworking associates. It’s also intended to recognize the men and women who work behind the scenes keep our communities clean.

Garbage men and women have dangerous and dirty jobs. They work long hours in the heat, rain, snow and sleet. The reasons they do it vary from associate to associate, but all of them would agree it’s their loyal customers who give them the best reward.

When Professional Driver Tim Clark was asked why he loves his job he answered: “When customers see me outside of work in the community and take the time to say ‘hi!’ That’s my favorite part of my job, the people, the relationships.”

As Granger celebrates garbage men and women this week, we encourage our customers and community to join us. Follow along on Facebook and our blog as we feature some of our hard-working Granger associates. Visit our website and send in a kudos about your garbage man. Or just offer a simple wave when you see a Granger associate around town.
