Curbside Recycling Guidelines

Your recycling collection is referred to as “single-stream”  recycling. This means that all recyclables go into your recycling cart together and do not need to be sorted. Materials are sorted at a single-stream sorting facility after collection.

 

What’s Accepted

  • Cardboard (corrugated)
  • Boxboard (cereal, crackers, pasta and other dry goods boxes)
  • Cartons (milk, juice, soup, broth, etc.)
  • Mixed paper (newspaper, magazines, catalogs, mail, office paper)
  • Glass (clear and colored)
  • Plastic bottles and containers
  • Aluminum cans and foil
  • Steel and tin cans

What We Can’t Recycle

  • Aerosol cans
  • Appliances
  • Bulky plastic products (storage totes, laundry baskets, buckets, etc.)
  • Disposable coffee cups
  • Drinking glasses and other dishes
  • Foam containers and packaging
  • Frozen food boxes
  • Hangers
  • Household scrap metal
  • Paint cans
  • Plastic bags of any kind (retail, storage, etc.)
  • Rubber
  • String, twine and hoses
  • Stickers and sticky notes
  • Toys
