WASTE & RECYCLING WORKERS WEEK
JUNE 16-22, 2025

At Granger, we don’t all pick up the trash, but we all contribute to keeping our communities clean.

EVERYONE AT GRANGER
HAS AN IMPORTANT JOB.

From the drivers in your neighborhoods to the customer service representatives who answer your questions to the engineers and equipment operators who plan and maintain our landfills, all waste and recycling workers of Granger play an important role in ensuring waste is collected and properly disposed of.

SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION.

Looking for some ways to say “thank you” to the dedicated waste and recycling workers in your community? Here are some ideas.

Make a Thank You Card

Use your creativity (or recruit your kids) to make a thank you card or drawing for your drivers. You can tape it to your cart, mail it to 16980 Wood Road, Lansing, MI 48906, email it to [email protected] or use sidewalk chalk to draw it on your driveway.

Leave a Treat

Set a refreshing drink like a bottle of water or sports drink or even a sweet treat out for your driver to enjoy.

Submit Some Kudos

If you’ve had a really great experience with your driver, customer service or some other Granger associate, take a minute to get them some recognition by submitting some kudos. You can do this by filling out the Contact form, sending us an email or leaving a Google review.

Just Say It

If you have the opportunity to connect with a Granger associate in person or over the phone, take a moment to thank them for their work.

Spread the Word

Reach out to your connections through social media, in person or via email or text to let them know about Waste & Recycling Workers Week. An easy way to do this is by sharing posts from Granger’s Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages during the week of June 16.

Follow the Guidelines

The best way to make your Granger driver’s day is to follow collection guidelines and safe practices.

  • Have your items out the night before collection day.
  • Place your cart correctly.
  • Be sure containers are not overfilled or overweight.
  • Keep prohibited and unsafe items out of your trash and recycling.
  • Bag all your trash.
  • Slow down, pass carefully and give them plenty of space when driving near collection workers.
