Facility will help Granger better serve Jackson and surrounding area

This week Granger Waste Services representatives unveiled a new building in Blackman Township. The building is located at Granger’s existing property on Lansing Avenue near Granger Disposal Center of Jackson.

The 16,000 square foot, energy-efficient facility includes six mechanic bays and a wash bay, as well as office space, conference rooms, break areas and locker rooms. Smart Building Systems were used in construction of the building to optimize HVAC, power, lighting, security and other building infrastructure. Truck and heavy equipment facilities were researched ahead of construction, and best practices were applied to ensure optimal conditions for mechanics, supervisors and other personnel working in the building. New, state-of-the-art equipment will contribute to more efficient operations and translate into even more reliable service for local customers.

Granger Chief Executive Officer Keith Granger said, “The construction of this new building is a testament to our commitment to providing the best care for our Granger associates and the best service for our customers. We’re excited for our Jackson mechanics and operations personnel to begin working in this new facility.”

Granger has been serving customers in mid-Michigan since 1966. The company opened its facility in Jackson in 2014 after combining resources with Northwest Refuse. Construction of the new building underscores Granger’s ongoing commitment to continue providing reliable service to Jackson and the surrounding area, as well as remaining active and engaged through community partnerships.

Granger currently employs 40 associates at its facility in Jackson of 360 total associates company-wide. Career opportunities are available at the Jackson location. Qualified candidates should visit for details about open positions.
