An Open Letter From Our CEO, Keith Granger

By Rachael on June 19, 2017

Not everyone dreams of being a garbage man when they grow up, but I definitely did. Maybe my situation was a little different because it was our family business, but even when I was small, I think I recognized what an important job it is. And I still feel the same way. I’m proud to tell people I’m a garbage man.

I realize how important our associates are to the communities we serve because customers tell us how much they appreciate them. Our garbage men and women not only work a difficult, physically demanding job, they represent us positively in the community. They put smiles on the faces of children by waving, blowing their horn or giving out Captain Curby toys, all while keeping neighborhoods clean.

And at Granger, we’re all garbage men and garbage women. Whether Granger associates drive a truck, process payables, fix equipment, bale recyclables or create energy from trash, they’re making a huge contribution that supports this critical function. All of us at Granger play an important role in keeping this company going and servicing our communities.

As we celebrate Garbage Man Appreciation Week, I want to thank all our Granger associates for taking care of our customers and for making Granger a special place to work!

Most Sincerely,

Keith Granger
President & CEO
